Prior to practicing law, Harold Boyd advised members of congress on the influential appropriations committee and the Judiciary Committee. As an advisor to a member of the Appropriations Committee, Mr. Boyd helped garner millions of dollars of assistance for various programs and projects for the constituents of his members District.
Among his significant and substantial experiences, Mr. Boyd served as Minority Counsel to the Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Border Security and Claims. In this position, Mr. Boyd was a Key staff member for immigration policy responsible for advising the Ranking member of the Subcommittee and all other Democratic members of the Subcommittee on immigration policy. He played an integral role in the integration of the former Immigration and Naturalization Service into the new DHS (Department of Homeland Security).
